![]() vimrc does not seem enough (nothing changes when compiling). I should add that here there seems to be a solution, but adding that code to my. vimrc file to perform forward search via the command I just wrote (or a modification of it), without running the Vim-Latex compilation command. Therefore, I am looking for a way to enhance my. I am not a fan on the Vim-latex suite, and I prefer to use my own compilation command, which conveniently pops up a terminal window where I can read all errors: :command Compile terminal rows=10 latexmk -pvc -pdf -interaction=nonstopmode -halt-on-error -file-line-error -synctex=1 %:t There seems to be several ways to setup forward search by using Vim-Latex, but this appears overly complicated to me. It seems like the problem in forward searching (with respect to backward searching, which is fairly simple to set up), is that one has to tell the editor (MacVim) something about the viewer (Skim), see for example this post. NOTE: the rake command will install all dependencies needed.I want to set up forward search from MacVim to Skim. To install it, just make a clone of the repository with the git client: git clone Maximum Awesome it's a collection of vim configuration and plugins, like a configuration manager for the vim environment. The P command just places the cursor on the last character of the pasted text. The only difference between the P command and the gP command is that the gP command places the cursor just after the pasted text, if there's room on the line. I tried switching to the Editor mode in MacVim and entering variations on :\ll, \ll and :\ll/ but nothing works. I don't understand how I can enter this command. ![]() In order to compile a LaTeX file, simply press \ll while editing the file. To update the vimrc scripts, run: cd ~/.vim_runtime
